Outlook 2003 | Outlook 2002 | Outlook 2000 | Outlook 97/98



To set up Outlook 2003:

1. Select Options from the Tools menu.
 


2. From the Options window, select the Mail Setup tab.
3. Click the E-mail Accounts... button.
4. Choose the Add a new e-mail account option and click the Next button.
5. Select the POP3 radio button and click the Next button.
6. In the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter the following information:

User Information

* Enter your name as you wish it to appear in the Your Name field.
* Enter your e-mail address in the username@yourdomain.com format in the E-mail Address field.

Server Information

* Incoming Mail Server (POP3) field: mail.yourdomain.com
* Outgoing Mail Server (POP3) field: enter the outgoing server name provided by your internet service provider.
            Note: you may also use mail.yourdomain.com if allowed by your provider.

Logon Information

* Enter your user name in the User Name field.  Your user name is everything to the left of the @ symbol in your email address.
* Enter your password in the Password field.

7. Click the Test Account Settings... button to verify the information you entered is correct.
8. Click the Close button.
9. Click the Next button, then click the Finish button.



To set up Outlook 2002:

1. Select E-mail Accounts... from the Tools menu.
2. Choose the Add a new e-mail account option and click the Next button.
3. Select the POP3 radio button and click the Next button.
4. In the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter the following information:

User Information

* Enter your name as you wish it to appear in the Your Name field.
* Enter your e-mail address in the username@yourdomain.com format in the E-mail Address field.
* Incoming Mail Server (POP3) field: mail.yourdomain.com
* Outgoing Mail Server (POP3) field: enter the outgoing server name provided by your internet service provider.
           Note: you may also use mail.yourdomain.com if allowed by your provider.

Logon Information

* Enter your user name in the User Name field.  Your user name is everything to the left of the @ symbol in your email address.
* Enter your password in the Password field.

7. Click the Test Account Settings... button to verify the information you entered is correct.
8. Click the Close button.
9. Click the Next button, then click the Finish button.



To setup Outlook 2000:

1. Select Accounts from the Tools menu.
2. Click the Add button and then the Mail button to launch the Setup Wizard.
3. Enter your name as you wish it to appear in the From field and click the Next button when done.
4. Enter your e-mail address in the username@yourdomain.com format in the e-mail address field and click the Next button when complete.
5. In the E-mail Server Names window, select POP3 from the drop-down list if it is not displayed.
6. Incoming Mail Server (POP3) field: mail.yourdomain.com
7. Outgoing Mail Server (POP3) field: enter the outgoing server name provided by your internet  service provider.   ** Note: you may also use mail.yourdomain.com if allowed by your provider.
8. Click the Next button when complete.
9. In the Internet Mail Logon window, enter your e-mail account name (username) in the Account Name field.  ** Your user name is everything to the left of the @ symbol in your email address.
10. Enter your password. You may optionally click to mark the checkbox if you wish Outlook to remember your password. If you have forgotten your password, or wish to change it, visit the Road Runner Password Tool. Click the Next button when complete.
11. Click the Advanced Options radio button (a window will display).
12. In the Connection Method window, specify Connect using My local area network (LAN).
13. Click the Next button and then the Finish button to complete.



To setup Outlook 97/98:

1. Select Services from the Tools menu.
2. Information Services required are:

* Internet Mail
* Personal Address Book
* Personal Folders

Use the Add button if you need to install any of the above.

3. Highlight Internet Mail and select the Properties button.
4. Enter your name in the Your Full Name field.
5. Enter your e-mail address in the username@yourdomain.com format in the E-mail address field.
6. Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the Mail Server field.
7. Enter your username in the Account Name field.
8. Enter your password. If you have forgotten your password, or wish to change it, visit the Road Runner Password Tool.
9. Click the Advanced Options button.
10. When the window displays, in the field labeled Forward all outbound mail to the following server enter the outgoing server name provided by your internet  service provider and then click the OK button..   ** Note: you may also use mail.yourdomain.com if allowed by your provider
11. Click the Connection tab and then specify Connect using the network.
12. Click the Apply button and then the OK button.
