Domain Name
A unique name that identifies an Internet site such as mybusiness.com.  See: Web Address
E-Commerce
The process of selling products or services via the Internet (e.g. eBay).
IP Address
IP is short for Internet Protocol. An IP address is a unique numerical address assigned to every machine connected to the Internet. This is a unique string of numbers identifies a computer or server on the Internet. These numbers are normally shown in groups separated by periods. Example: 216.239.51.100 is Google's IP address.
Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3)
A standard protocol for receiving e-mail.
Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP)
A protocol used to transfer electronic mail between computers across the Internet.
Uniform Resource Locator (URL)
A string of characters used to represent and identify a page of information on the World Wide Web that is used by an web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer to find resources on the Internet (e.g. http:\\www.simplyonthent.com)
Web Address
A unique string of letters or characters that identify your specific place on the internet such as www.mybusiness.com.  See: Domain Name 
Web Hosting
The business of providing the storage, connectivity, and services necessary to serve files for a website
Web Page
Individual files or pages of a website. A collection of individual web pages comprise a website.
Web Site
A collection of interconnected files that are stored at a specific location and address on the Internet that can be retrieved using a web browser.
